Beautiful baby Sophia recently came into my Milton studio for her newborn photoshoot and I just loved working with her and her sweet mom and dad. Even as a seasoned newborn photographer, she just melted my heart!
With her stunning creamy skin tone, we started by using neutrals for her photo session. Just look at that little smile!
I also added a few soft feminine touches with headbands and a white lace swaddle wrap to add some texture.
She was so calm and content throughout the whole session that I really didn’t need to do much to keep her sleepy. Mom and Dad were able to sit back and relax while I worked my magic with little Sophia.
Mom had given me artist’s license to use whatever colors I thought would work for Sophia’s newborn shoot, so I pulled out a soft green backdrop and wrap that really brought out her adorable pink cheeks and rosy lips.
For props I used my go to white bowl with soft pinks and then my favorite moses basket.
I don’t often use bonnets but I’ve been loving this little white bear bonnet lately. How adorable are those tiny ears?!
Lastly we captured some classic family portraits. I just love how Sophia smiled while mom was holding her. So darling.
Mom’s pink dress worked perfectly with the shoot, while dad’s crisp white polo matched our neutral theme.

The last 13 years as a Boston portrait photographer has taught me that I would rather document the whole of life, and not just parts. This led me to a focus in everything from sweet newborn photos to family portraits, maternity and motherhood portraits and senior photos.
Look forward to an intuitive experience that is more communicative than not (no details missed or advice not shared), and with custom, modern and light filled photos that are hand-edited to be framed and passed on.
