Today I’m sharing some sweet images from a recent newborn studio session. I loved meeting little Hunter and his family a few weeks ago.

Even though I have learned many tricks over the years as a Boston newborn photographer to keep babies calm and sleepy during their session, he was already so relaxed when he came into my photography studio. 

He settled effortlessly as I gently arranged him into some classic newborn poses, which made my job very easy! 

When we were planning Hunter’s newborn studio session, Mom said she wanted a soft color palette of light grays, white and muted blues.

I love how it all came together. Neutral tones are always so clean and classic for newborn photos.

Not only was baby Hunter a joy to work with, I was also so impressed by big sister Emery! 

At just 2 years old she was so well behaved during the entire photo session. 

Usually, I will ask a parent to be ready to take older siblings out of the studio during baby’s portion of the photo session. This keeps the environment calm and quiet (you can read more about how to prepare for your newborn photo session here). After all, it is a long time for young children to have to sit and be patient. But that wasn’t necessary with this little sweetheart.

You can tell she just adores her little brother, cradling him and giving him kisses in these images. 

When it was her turn to be photographed, she was so cooperative and gentle with him. It made my heart melt!

Also, look how adorable she is with her big blue eyes. They match her dress and sweet bow perfectly!

Then it was Mom and Dad’s turn in front of the camera with their newest little addition. 

What I really enjoyed about working with this little family is that the love between them just jumps off the back of the camera. They have such a beautiful bond and it shines through in their family portraits.
