A Traditional Posed Newborn Baby Girl session in my Boston Photo Studio

I recently had the pleasure of photographing this teeny tiny baby girl. Mom and I decided on a traditional posed session in my Boston Photo Studio and I am obsessed with how these classic photos turned out.

Her parents received a gift certificate for their portrait session with me from a dear friend of theirs. Pro tip: new moms really enjoy getting this as a gift at their baby shower! 

We kept the theme of the shoot to traditional and soft neutrals, pinks, and even captured a couple images in lavender for this beautiful girl’s photo session.

She slept soundly and barely stirred during the entire shoot, giving me the opportunity to get quite the variety of poses in various soft wraps and feminine props like headbands with tiny pink rosettes and gossamer bows. So delicate and dainty – just like baby girl!

As always, we let baby lead the session, but this little one was so easy to work with, it was a dream!

I loved getting to know Mom and Dad as I worked with baby. We actually discovered that I grew up with one of their postpartum nurses at the hospital – such a small world! I just love when I make connections with my clients, which happens more often than you’d think! 

Finally, we wrapped up our newborn session with some sweet images of Mom and Dad, separately snuggling with baby and the whole new family together. I loved how these two came prepared in their white and cream outfits, complementing their little one perfectly.
