Reflecting on 2024: A Year of Growth, Gratitude, and Gorgeous Photos!

As 2024 draws to a close, it’s time to reflect on the incredible journey this year has been. From personal milestones and family adventures to professional achievements and creative breakthroughs as a photographer, it’s been a year of growth, gratitude, and capturing countless precious moments.

Personal Highlights

This year was filled with adventure and quality time with loved ones. My husband and I finally took that long-awaited trip to Italy, exploring its beauty and charm. We also carved out two weeks for a relaxing beach escape in my hometown, soaking up the sun and creating memories with the kids. And who can forget those unforgettable girls’ trips to Naples, Florida, and Newport, Rhode Island? (Paris is already on the calendar for May 2025 – can’t wait!)

Beyond travel, I prioritized self-care and personal growth. I devoured 32 books (a personal record!), spent less time glued to my phone at night, and learned to listen to my body and mind, embracing those moments when I needed to slow down. We also enjoyed exploring the Boston food scene, discovering new favorites and revisiting old classics. And yes, there might have been a bit (or a lot!) of shopping involved. 

Of course, family milestones were at the heart of this year’s journey. Parker got his driver’s license (cue the tears!), Marin started Pre-K, Hawk transitioned to middle school, and Adeline rocked her report card with straight A’s. We also spent countless hours cheering on the kids at their basketball games, lacrosse matches, and dance recitals.

Professional Triumphs

2024 was a year of professional growth and creative fulfillment. I photographed more sessions than ever before (216!), capturing precious memories for so many wonderful families. I discovered a newfound love for in-home lifestyle newborn sessions, embracing the beauty of natural light and authentic moments.

This year also marked a significant milestone in defining my photography style and solidifying my brand. I finally feel like I’ve truly found my voice as a photographer, attracting clients who resonate with my aesthetic and appreciate the genuine connections I capture.

Launching my brand new website with updated branding was another highlight. It’s a beautiful reflection of my style and values, and it’s been incredible to connect with so many new clients (and welcome back so many familiar faces!).

From sold-out mini sessions to streamlining my business operations, 2024 has been a year of abundance and achievement. I’m incredibly grateful for the amazing team that supports me, allowing me to focus on what I love most: creating beautiful images and capturing the essence of family love.
